Rally Seasons

Emka Rally Team has competed in various events both in Uganda and outside. Participation in many events stretching from one rally season to another has earned the team a mammoth crowd of supporters across Africa and not just in Uganda.

With back to back rallies that have passed over the years, we decided to choose a number of events we took part in and bring you most of the action and drama as it happened. Enjoy your virtual tour through the years.

Kobil Rally of Tanzania: 20 - 22 Feb 2009 (ARC)

Official opening event of the 2009 African Rally Championship calendar.

It was the opening round of the official FIA ARC calendar of the year 2009 as was decided, a lot of top notch drivers including EMKA went after its conquest at all costs, ARC is Africa's biggest rally challenge, a lot of skills and patience combined are the gateway to archiving the grand finale in this event.

KCB Safari Rally 03 - 05 April 2009 - Kenya

For years the Safari has been known as the world's toughest rally and we never doubt that at all, whether during the days of the WRC or todate. The Safari is more than just a rally, it is a real experience of a lifetime.

The second round of the 2009 ARC calendar, the legendary Safari Rally has always been a real classic on the ARC rally calendar for sure and 2009's challenge would provide us with an epic and memorable event. It always provides an epic challenge to participants to push cars to the maximum through the demanding gravel stages. With so far James Whyte being the leader aboard the FIA 2009 ARC standings with 10 points, 2 points better than EMKA in second position, he had to bear with EMKA's fight back for the top spot.

Events from the year 2008

2008 was a huge year for the entire team with a few surprises here and their for the fans too.

Making promises is very crucial in motorsports but then also full filling them is another thing all together. We had promised that we would be availing a new rally car soon for our many fans and as such, we full filled our promise. We had acquired a brand new Tommi Makinen Racing prepared Subaru Impreza WRX STi TMR14 or what is loosely known as the Subaru Impreza N14. Their is huge debate about the numbering system of "especially" Subaru rally cars, but we finally settle that debate at this link. Our fans and entire media fraternity was present to grace the car's arrival at Entebbe Airport.
